Aaron - FIT College Graduate now Coach at Fitness Nation
Hi, I'm Aaron.
I'm a fit college graduate and now a coach at Fitness Nation. One inspired me to become a PT was I was a very overweight person about four years ago and I got to a point in my life where I had hit what I call my rock bottom. I feel like a lot of people can resonate with that.
I weighed 163 kilos at my heaviest. I was dealing with the son in the hospital and all our lives fell apart and I had no control over anything. So I felt like I needed to have control over something. So I thought, I've got to make this change. I'm going to lose weight. I'm going to make myself, you know, better be there for my kids, be there for my family in the long run and yeah, make that change for myself. And I haven't looked back since.
Choosing Fit College was a simple choice for me because I had tried previously to do a personal training course through another provider. However, it was all done online and I liked accountability. I really enjoyed studying with Fit College because of that one on one engagement.
Classes were always, always engaging, very, very hands on going out onto the gym floor and actually perfecting the craft and learning some new skills when it came to coaching and stuff like that. Fitness Nation has been nothing but a support net for me as a new trainer. It's absolutely more than what I could have asked for.
I love the work that I do now. I love the people that I work with. The advice that I would give to any new student or aspiring student of personal training is get in there and do it. You've got nothing holding you back if you just jump in. The work is going to be hard, but it is rewarding at the end of it.
Say a huge thank you to Fit College. I went from a weight loss journey to a fitness lifestyle to now what is my career because of this team of people that trained me to be a personal trainer.
